CONTACT
LENS VIDEO NOW ONLINE
Washington, DC... Consumers
can now view an online video on how to properly insert or remove
a contact lens. The video, custom-produced by The Contact Lens
Council (CLC), offers step-by-step instructions and can be viewed
on its website at
www.contactlenscouncil.org/video.htm
The three-minute video demonstrates the proper way to insert and
remove a contact lens, and tips on proper lens care. The video
has subtitles and voiceover for universal comprehension, along
with a printable fact sheet of detailed instructions.
According to Edward Schilling, Executive Director of the Contact
Lens Council, "Many visitors to the CLC website have requested
information on how to properly insert and remove their contact
lenses. In response to these requests, we have produced the video
to provide an easy-to-follow demonstration."
The CLC is a non-profit organization serving as
an educational resource on vision correction for consumers and
is devoted to promoting the safe use of contact lenses. The American
Optometric Association, Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists,
and the Contact Lens Society of America are advisory members of
the CLC. The CLC is sponsored by Alcon Laboratories, Allergan
Optical, Bausch & Lomb, CIBA Vision, Cooper Vision, Vistakon
(a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Products, Inc.), and
Wesley Jessen.
